Enjoy the wild life in Kanha while you stay at a safari resort.

Located in Madhya Pradesh, India, the Kanha National Park is the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s novel Jungle Book. The Wild Life at Kanha and the bamboo forests are a major attraction for people from all over the country. This national park was created in 1955 and is spread across 1945 square kilometers making it the largest national park in central India. Book a tour and make reservations at one of the many safari resorts in Kanha. This is the perfect place for family holidays as well as for nature enthusiasts. When visiting this national park, you will come face to face with wild animals, reptiles and mammals. The park has some species that are almost extinct like the Swamp Deer (Barasingha). Other animals that you can find in the park are gaurs, Indian elephants, fox, hyenas, jungle cats, civets, porcupines, tigers and many more. The park also has a lot of reptiles like pythons, cobras, krait, rat snakes, vipers and grass snakes.

The national park also has a Tiger reserve adding to the Wild Life at kanha. This is a great initiative given the decreasing number of tigers each other. You can witness wildlife and nature at its best. There are a lot of activities for children as well as adults at this national park. Take a jeep safari tour of the premises while you take in beautiful views of the forest and the wildlife. You should definitely visit Bamni Dadar, which is the sunset spot at Kanha National Park. The view of the sunset from this particular spot is absolutely breathtaking especially because the backdrop to the sunset is grazing animals and endless forest. You can also visit the Kanha museum that is located near the national park. The museum showcases the tribal culture of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It also depicts the attributes and activities of the park.

The national park is well connected by roadway and railways. The nearest airport is 266 kilometers away. Also note that the park is closed from July to mid-November during the monsoons in the area. Enjoy your stay amid nature and have an adventurous vacation.
